If you aren't ready, you have to let them go. It's wrong to waste other people's time.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?
There's no such thing as "the one". It's more like the one million. Or the ten million. Or the hundred million. Don't ever get hung up on one person, otherwise you'll miss out on all the other loves of your life.
God, so atrocious in the Old Testament, so attractive in the New--the Jekyl and Hyde of sacred romance.
-Mark Twain
If people are good only because they fear punishment and hope for reward, then we are a sorry lot indeed.

That's a lame excuse I used to attribute to breakups. In retrospect, if I met them later, the relationship might have worked out or lasted longer, but honestly, I wouldn't want to be with them now.
That means they are not 'the one'. If they were I'm sure you wouldn't care how early you meet them.
Well, if he/she is "the one" then it is "meant to be" and the two people will be together forever. In reality, having found "the one" is a very rare event, but it's not as hard to find the adequate ones and if one goes, another will come along so no worries.
I generally think everyone has lots of 'ones' running around. I don't think there are any two people 'destined' to be together. Unless you are talking sawyer and juliet... and if you know who I'm talking about, kudos to you!
Lost! Me want a cookie now.
No such thing as the 'one'. Millions of people could prove to be right one for you. You just won't ever meet them all.
I can't stand it when people say "it was meant to be" if you have to lie to yourself like that to keep a commitment going, then you should just break up.
