At first I thought she wasn't going to come because she was like an hour late, but it turned out she got lost trying to find where I live. The mall was closed for the night so we decided to go ahead to the movies. I found out that she smokes; I didn't know that about her. It took about half an hour to find the movie theater, and when we bought our tickets we had an hour+ of time to waste, so we just drove around for most of the time. We went to Best Buy, played around with the cameras and stuff in there; then decided to get something to eat. Chick-fil-a was closed so we went to Taco Bell instead; at this time the movie was about to begin so we drove all the way back. When we left Taco Bell she somehow ended up on the wrong side of the road driving into oncoming traffic, it was so freaking hilarious.
We watched Dinner for Schmucks -- Toy Story 3 wasn't playing anymore that night. It was an alright movie, Steve Carrel is awesome. After the movie we decided to go home as it was 1am and we left at around 8:30. She said she had fun and told me to message her when we can hang out again. Her dad is leaving this week and she doesn't have a job so it'll be tough for her to get money to pay for her movie tickets whenever we go again. I'll send her a message in a couple weeks (probably Monday or Tuesday) to set something up for Friday night so we can see The Last Exorcism and go to the mall beforehand. I have to admit it was kind of awkward being with her. I mean, we did joke around a bit but I couldn't like think of anything funny or whatever to say; I need to work on that, a lot. When we do hang out again I'm going to buy me a little bit of alcohol to loosen up a bit.
I still kind of have a crush on this girl, but now that we've finally gone out I'm not as infatuated with her as I was before. Right now I'm just trying to find out more about her, get to know her better, and just be a good friend for her. But, I'm still going to flirt with her when I see her. A mutual friend of ours is having a birthday party next week; maybe I'll see her there.
So, it was an okay night.
I really need some help on how to keep a conversation going. When she was driving to the theater she did ask me questions (nothing really personal or anything though) and I just kind of agreed with her, like I just said "yeah", "cool", and "haha i know man". Like, I couldn't think of anything to say. After the movie when she was driving me home I asked her some questions (have you seen this show, etc) and she kind of laughed and said yeah. It's hard for me to start and keep a conversation going. When we do go out again I really need to step it up a lot, I just need some advice on how to proceed in doing this.
