An 11yr reunion, 4500 miles, and a confused me.

Hello! I've got myself in some what of a pickle and I've love to get your opinions on it. So here goes...

I'm an expatriate and recently I travelled back for a family event. For six or so months prior I'd exchanged emails with my proverbial "high school sweetheart", and as I was in town she and I agreed to meet and catch up on the 11 years since we last met.

Quite unexpectedly to me, of the five evenings I was back we ended up spending four hanging out. Meals out and the like. The evening before my return flight we sat in my folks' garden, snuggled up and putting the world to rights until the early hours. It was very nice. On parting we had a looong cuddle and she said she didn't want me to leave.

A few months later and this girl's all over my mind. My heart says "ask if anything happened", my head says "psychology 101, get over it!", and the two meet at "repatriate and see if she fancies hanging out". I'm so confused!

So folks... what to do?

(Btw, there's no one else involved here; no partners, no kids, no lawyers, no animals.)

Yes. A few emails since, albeit closer to when I returned than now.

if you wish to continue contact with her, then send her an email telling her you can't stop thinking about her. Then wait for her reaction.

If there is no chance of you ever returning to your hometown, then let it go.
