How can you tell if the guy is flirting with you for fun, he's purposely trying to mess with your mind or is genuine?

We guys just like to have a bit of fun, why do you women look into it too far? We flirt for 5 minutes and suddenly it's a huge deal and you are all worried about our intentions.
