you should look at jewelry shes already owns to get ideas of what she likes. I like the second ring you picked out alot because its simple but not as simple as a plain solitaire, which I think are just boring.
I personally am more of a delicate jewelry wearer so I would like that ring but the stones to be small, not a two-three carat-er

I have but her jewelry supply doesnt give me a lot to work with. I dont know who would want to wear a 2-3 carat ring personally, it seems like overly large to me. Lookat Me Lookat Me! lol

The second one is better, IMO.

I'm not a big fan of diamond rings tho. The only thing that distinguishes them is the size & number of rocks. Boring. Most of the jewelry I own are one-off artisan pieces and I always get compliments on them.

Do you know how damn hard it is to be sneaky when you work from home 7 days a week and your girlfriend is also in the house 5 days a week? Two days a week is hardly enough time to get this shit done. [/rant off]

I sell jewelry for a living and I cant stand when chicks try on a ring that they LOVE but when I tell them its cz theyre like "omg no show me the real stuff..." Seriously bitch if you couldnt tell the difference then WHAT does it matter?! And furthermore if the cz's are small enough its pretty hard to tell the difference unless you actually know what youre looking at.
Same with white gold vs sterling..

Okay, so I've tossed aside the ring in my original post. The one I posted later on, is on its way from the other side of town and should get in Wednesday for me to look at. I came across one more I like, which is wider (similar to the few rings she does have). I dont think the picture does it much justice, but nonetheless. I had a diamond brought in from another state which arrived so I was able to look at it today and its beautiful. Her cat is cuddling with my arm right now, I guess he is pleased. Stupid cats...

Look more at the interesting setting vs. the stones. You can get these with diamonds. Of course, it depends on your lady's taste. I've always enjoyed more interesting designs that are somewhat technically challenging:

I did see this on the website

The Solitaire settings just look too cheap to me. I spent all my money on this rock, I cant afford a decent setting to put it in.
That's how YOU see it, I see it as simple, classic and beautiful.

This one almost looks like a man's ring, TAVS. Your first choice was better.

I get that, I do. Believe me, the first ones I was looking at were even more manly. I came to that conclusion a week ago. I said to myself, Thats like a ring (except the sparkle) you would get for yourself. They were more like:

http://design.jared-diamonds.com/_images/jewelry/shapes/560773208_MV_LG_JAR_bBR.jpg
(Not doing an image link so people dont think I am considering this anymore)

Wrong direction dude. I think in person the ring I posted last looks less male-oriented than in the picture, but I'll give it a second chance next time I look it over.
