Why do men prefer saying they will call in case they do not intend to do it instead of telling the truth. Why will a man tell he want to meet you and then won't even pick up the phone ? Thank you for your answers beforehand

duh... because he doesn't want to meet you. he doesn't want to see you hurt so he gives you false hope. later when you call, the only way that he knows how to deal with not again disappointing you is just to ignore the problem and hope that you go away by yourself.

That had been my problem about month's ago after our break up. In my case i thought he wanted some space for himself, though we are miles apart. I adopted a 'let-him-call-first' policy and it worked well. Also i never asked him if he wants me online or wanted to talk. I actually spent more time on myself and my things instead of thinking about him n his mind. Silent treatment works if u are in relationship. Show him you didnt care when he missed his appointment and tell him what you did instead. Do this for sometimes and you would know what's brooding is on his mind. If he comes back to you that means he cares.

Easy, it's WAYYYYY easier to say "I call you" than to hurt the persons feeling right in front of you. While most people would appreciate straight up honesty it doesn't change the fact that people do what is easier in the short term and this is to say I'll call you.

Probably because he doesn't feel that he owes you anything. You are not exclusive with this guy, nor are you dating him regularly.
