Man, I'd be really upset if I found out my guy was anticipating being bored with me, or was already bored despite how hot and amazing in bed he thinks I am. Yeah, relationships can be boring at times, and if you're not up for the work to make it not boring, then you should move on.

I sincerely do not know how to keep relationships from becoming incredibly boring to me. When I was younger I used to try very hard to maintain interest. It never worked. Now I just don't care. To me a relationship is that brief span of time I can **** a girl on the regular before we break up and she hates my guts.

A friend wouldn't be as invested in your well-being as a highly motivated, intelligent partner. Just an example: my husband & I have helped each other over the years in several career-related endeavours. Noone else, not even the highest-paid consultant or best friend would have been able to provide the same combination of intelligent, and honestly motivated input. Because we stood to gain the most from our financial and personal satisfaction gains. If you combine this with raising responsible children AND a healthy sex-life, I would say you are flat-out wrong with this^ comment.

Of course, unless she can make this a convincing argument for you, born of her own thought processes, then she probably isn't smart enough to follow through on it.
