no, just figuratively, pretty much.
Like apparently she had to pay for their lunch (gasp) because he had no money with him and they wouldn't take his card.. and later he goes to an ATM to refill his wallet. And when his wallet is lying on the table here she looks through it and accuses him of lying about not having anything in it. He explains about going to the ATM. But instead of being taken aback or feeling bad for oooh say snooping through his wallet, she'll just move on to the next accusation the next day. I don't think you should be able to just go throwing accusations around willy nilly.
Of course, if I say anything, it'll just look like a case of nobody-is-good-enough-for-my-brother. I put up with stuff from my ex and my brother probably wondered why the heck I was doing that.. so, maybe this is the same thing only from the other side.
