I think it just depends on your ability to accept somebody. I am a huge liberal, I support a socialist democracy (I vote Democrat)...I would love to see socialized health care and education system from K-college and I think that the more money you make shouldn't mean that you pay a lower percentage in taxes...there is a problem with me paying 36% of my income in taxes and Warren Buffet paying 18%...I think it should be the other way around or at least a equal number ...One of my good friends is a conservative Democrat and we disagree a lot, another of my friends is a middle of the road Republican....those are some of the issues we disagree on quite a bit.

I get along great with both of them even though we disagree greatly on many political issues....we have just agreed to disagree...but we also all enjoy and appreciate each others different outlooks and we enjoy debating with each other.

So I wouldn't throw away a friendship just because you disagree with her on an issue...you guys should just talk about it and come to a point where either you agree or you respect each others different point of views.

But she won't even watch the movie- which seems a bit like pfft I couldn't care less. But I want her to at least TRY to see why I'm so passionate but she refuses altogether! The other girl Anne has requested that please order 1 less bowl of soup (for our table) at least then she can still have the lavish dream of sharkfin and we won't feel so resentful that she served it to us DESPITE our feelings. I wouldn't serve a vegetarian FKC... I really hope she can do AT LEAST that for us.

What the **** does it have to do with being Green. Not hunting sharks is not going to do magic for the world's CO2 levels, its about basic human principles and ethics. Saying "there are other ways of being green" is about as sensible a response as saying "but I'm nice to my other friends" when you punch an acquaintance in the face.

It's called R-E-S-P-E-C-T. As I said I would never serve a veggie head a huge steak. I don't care the reasons one would be a veggie, I would simply offer her an alternative meal- RESPECT. How the hell am I an asshole for requesting an alternative soup because I don't eat shark fin? I already said if you read it I would let her have her beloved shark fin but if she could please order us something else (or nothing at all I don't care- just don't stick a bowl of something so offending right in my face).
