Is talking too much at the start of the relationship a bad sign?

Hey so I just started to date this guy around Christmas time. It has been going very well and we already have fallen in love (we have known each other for a year). He lives a couple of hours away right now so we really only talk online (msn, emails, video chat). We talk a lot and I was wondering if a relationship starts out with so much talking and such a big lovey dovey feeling at the start, is there a good sign this relationship might not last? It just seems too good to be true right now. I heard how when a relationship starts out big the only place it has to go is down. What are your guys experiences?

The worst thing that you'll do is this: wondering, and worrying. Stop that now. Just go with the flow!

If you trust this fellow with all your heart and yearn for those very same feelings and conversations to repeat and repeat... why are you asking such a question?

Do you come from a fractured or untraditional home?

Do your friends or their families have some heartache you've taken onboard?

You've described, "the Ideal" in your opening post.

A man and woman so into each other that perfection isn't a word they bother towards.

    Yet you question it.

What the above poster said... go with the flow. Cherish such a relationship as it happens.

It may just be, "the one" few find and even less do seldom realize.

Do you want to jeopardize something so good?

Unless you've got things of your own nature to work on... which in that case, you should be forthcoming to him.

I in the exact same situation, I've been talking with this one girl almost daily with both of us taking turns initiating conversations.

    Enjoy it!

Talking is well and all, I would stress that you focus on doing it in person (or next best, video chat), and frankly the test doesn't come until you guys find yourselves comfortable with the partner even when there's not an awful lot to talk about as you know alot about one another already.
