Sigh....I'll just put a few, even though there are a couple dozen:
Band of Horses - No Ones Gonna Love You
Zero 7 - Waiting Line
Rod Stewart - Forever Young (alright, that's kind of lame, but the lyrics are too bittersweet)
And.......go

My ex & I used to always talk about what eachother wore on the first day we ever met.. :/ I literally broke down crying when I first heard the song and listened to the lyrics closely.
Winter by Tori Amos
So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell,
blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?
My Heart Will Go On
Savage Garde - Truly, Madly, Deeply
Luckily my music taste runs mostly toward the hard rock/metal genre so there aren't too many sappy love songs on my iPod...however every time I heard that new Lady Antebellum song on the radio for the first month or so I almost broke down.
Mine's an old one. Bill Withers, "Ain't no sunshine when she's gone". I lock myself in the study, play it , get drunk and cry. And think of my love , I lost long ago.
Lobo - I'd Love You To Want Me
And damn i just looked it up on youtube to check its the right one and i felt sad
We always said it was our song
Thanks for all the replies....I didn't mean for everyone to go listening to these songs, hence the qualifier "can't"!
But seriously where the hell would life be without music?
Los del Río - Macarena
"Well, then," the Cat went on, "you see a dog growls when it's angry, and wags its tail when it's pleased. Now I growl when I'm pleased, and wag my tail when I'm angry. Therefore I'm mad."
Whisky Lullaby... Can't remember by who, but my ex listened to this all the time. I liked it to the point I was in tears. Also Cemetary Gates by Pantera.
