Long distance relationship

Hi all ! I'm Steinman from TN ! oh and i'm 22 ys old.
I have a girlfriend . we're in a relationship for 5 months now
and she's going to France to study which means we're gonna have a long distance relationship.
and i don't want to break up with her just because of distance.
oh and by the way..she's only go to France for a year or half year then get back to The States.
I do really trust her alot. and i trust myself alot too.
but yea...i'm just worried and nervous..she's leaving in two days !
what could i do ? or what can i do for the long distance relatioship ?

I've tried long distance just last year...when it started I was so sure it would work out, believe me, I trusted myself and her, and it was only gonna be 6 months before we saw each other again, but even after webcam and msn everyday; in the end, after 3 months, it didn't work

there'll probably be ppl saying 'you two probably just weren't right for each other' or something and they might be right.
but my point is that it is F***ing hard

but i know it's not impossible, so if you do decide to go through with it, I wish you all the luck

I've been in a LDR for a year and a half, now. My SO is from another country. We see each other every 4-5 months. It's definitely not easy, but it is possible if the love is there and you make a good couple.

I've been in LD's as well and I found them very hard to go through. One factor that may make it work: Knowing when it is going to end. Both you and your girl know the LD is going to happen for one and a half year. Anything can happen between now and then, but at least you know how far you are to the end of the journey. I'd say, give it a go and see how it develops.

get skype and plan visits - if you plan when u will next see each other it wont seem so long inbetween and you both have something to look forward to.
