Do you think this is fair?

My girlfriend currently has a yeast infection. She's had it for about 2 weeks (which means no sex for two weeks). She thinks it's fair that I get absolutely nothing (no handjobs, etc.) until she gets better. Do you all think it's fair? I feel like if I were in her situation, I would at least want to please my partner, even if I couldn't be pleased as well.

It isn't fair or unfair. It would be nice of her to "take care" of you, but she has no responsibility to.

While I sometimes do still please my partner during "off times", I would not be down with him EXPECTING to get some during my "off" time. I don't think that's fair to her.

I never expected her to do it, but I just thought it would've been nice. You're right, she doesn't have any responsibility to do it, but now it feels like I'd take care of her more or something. I don't know.

Its dickish if you make her feel bad or guilty for not wanting to do anything. Be sweet to her and maybe she'll WANT to do something for you.

I've never made her feel guilty for not wanting to do something to me. Like I said before, I never expect her to do anything.

Of course it would be nice- lots of things would be nice. You asked if we think it's fair she doesn't. We do think that it's fair. It is not ideal but it is 'fair'.

Maybe the lack of fairness she's speaking of is that doing stuff for you turns her on, and since you can't help her out, she gets frustrated. Just a guess.

Also, many women, myself included, need to feel sexy in order to enjoy sexy times. When I feel gross, I don't even think about sex, or sex acts. Yeast infections are not hot!

I would agree! When I have blood gushing out of my vag- I'm thinking mostly about how much it sucks to be a woman, second to that on my mind is cramps after that I think about how pissed off I am at just about anything and everything. Then maybe just for a slpit second I might think about how nice it would be of me to blow my bf. After that split second my cramps scream "who gives a shit!".

Okay- so I'm exaggerating, but the idea is- I'm not in the mood to get someone else in the mood.

You need to let go of those feelings. I'm sure there are some women out there that would happily service their man during dry periods, but they're few and far between. The sooner you accept that women have "woman times", the better off you'll be.

No, you're right, it only takes a few days to treat. It's been two weeks because she got it, went to the doctors, got medicine, the medicine didn't fully cure her and the doctors said to wait 5 days before coming back, so she did, and now she has an appointment with them Friday. Yeah, pain in the ass.

You don't have to see a doctor to treat a yeast infection. They sell the medication at the grocery store these days.
