so there's this guy he's a grade above me and i have a major crush on him sometimes i see him look at me but i've never talked to him i'm so shy that i'm even afraid friend him on facebook i'm not sure if i should just drop the idea of ever going out with him or i should try to get to know him please help i could really use it thnx

You are gonna have to decide if it's more important to cling to your shyness, or take a chance on him.

You might think about giving a nice big smile next time your eyes meet, and say "hi". It's okay if he notices that you are embarrassed... he might even think it's cute.
