Hello from the middle of nowhere

Hey everyone. I'm new a new resident to the state of north dakota for college. I moved away from minneapolis and it's a big change. It was that move that ended my relationship and left me crushed. So i thought I'd hop on this site to ask questions and maybe provide some feedback or something. I'm young and may not be able to bust out some outstanding wisdom, but i'd like to help wherever i can so.. thought i'd try it out.

Well i needed a good school for engineering and NDSU was the place to do it. I quickly realized that i made a mistake haha. This place blows. I don't drink or smoke but i snowboard. So naturally i went to the state where all you can do is drink and smoke and not snowboard. school itself is ok though

Probably, but I don't know where else i'd go to get the same engineering experience without doubling my tuition and distance from home to do it..

Maybe I'm just prejudiced. Maybe ND is a wonderful place that I would love if only I would give it a chance.

Hahaha, no. Your opinion is justified. I'm in the biggest city in ND (I think) and my hometown in suburbia was more of a city. It has been sunny 2 out of the last 26 days. And the shit weather has only just begun. I'm hoping for them floods again. Two weeks off of school that doesn't get tacked on at the end of the year

Welcome to bum **** nowhere. I have lived there for 5 years. I live on the Southeastern part of SD, though. Near Nebraska and Iowa.

My advice would be to stay, get the degree at Moor head, and move as far as **** away as you can.

Ouch.. I lived in Iowa for a little while. Des Moines so i guess it was kinda like a pretend civilization lol. This place is ridiculous and i can only hope it gets better. I mean it can't get worse so if uphill is the only way to go then.. let's do it! But ya 5 years of this might seriously decay my soul to nothing. I'm going back to Minnesota as fast as i can. they need civil engineers. they have bridges falling down and that's no good
