I think it shows confidence when a man is dressed in such a way that I have no idea what he's all about from half a block away. But, I feel like I need to be able to dress pretty nice, and people recognize that during the after hours.

Keeping true to my work style, I was thinking about buying a nice pair of boots that I don't use for work, y'know?

Maybe some nicer jeans...and...well I don't know about button down shirts, but t-shirts can only go so far, no matter what's on them.

In Canada we have Marks Work Wearhouse. They sell a lot of good quality, casual clothes. Their tagline is something about 'clothes for those who don't wear a suit & tie to work'.

As I've been buying new clothes to replace the old ones, I feel like I'm at a loss.

I used to be a skinhead, but I've grown out of that fashion for the most part and dress more conservatively. At the same time, I feel like I've grown kinda bored of my "style" or lack thereof.

I've always been very practical and utilitarian. But now I'm tired of wearing the same clothes I wear to work, out and about. I don't have any "nice", "casual" clothes.

Anytime I see designer jeans though, that are pre-faded, or pre-ripped, or fade at the bottom or some shit, I cringe. I hate that fake shit. I'm kind of at a loss.

I bought a nice coat and got compliments from girls of how good I look. But I still feel more comfortable in my usual non-style clothes.

In my country, there is a special despise against joggers and stuff like that. It was once very popular, but most people who wore it turned out to be stupid ****s, and it is with everything. Everyone thinks its ugly. **** it isnt, people who were in it, were ugly. if there weren't trends, there would not be half as much to sell.

Where I come from they say the tools make the man.

Consider this.

I own about 4-5 pair of pants.

All of which are worn to work and get covered in all sorts of shit.

I don't think it's unreasonable to want a pair of pants that aren't covered in some shit, to wear out, or to wear on special occasions.

Plus, the clothes a lot of guys wear outside of work, are the clothes I wear to work.

So my girlfriend just got the first good haircut in the 3 years I've been dating her.

She looks really cute, they thinned it out properly for once and did her bangs right.

She said she got hit on several times since the hair cut already.

What a difference a good haircut can make.
