Arggh! Meeting girls shouldn't be hard but it is! (Stuck back in the numbers game)

So I haven't been back here in a while, but in a little over a week, I asked out 4 girls.

I tried taking some of your advice. Instead of going for the full blown number, I just went for contact information in general, which is usually a facebook account.

I tried "striking while the iron is hot" and asking them out the first email instead of trying to warm them up over several emails and risking them losing interest.

And not a single email back!

    What's the hell?

Why? So you don't get the number so you don't seem pushy, but then you immediately ask them out on e-mail? Its kind of odd.

Just get a phone number and call, and don't "ask them out" - tell them you are doing xyz and that they should come. You're still asking them out, but it sounds less "datey" with all its odd implications, and more like hanging out and spending time, which is what it should be from the start.

And as for not getting responses, thats just a common thing you'll have to deal with. A lot of girls hand out numbers but won't pick up the call later. Deal with it and move on.

I'm not straight-up asking them out on a date.

What usually happens is that I'll chat with a girl for a few minutes, I'll try to maintain a positive energy and tease her a little bit, and before I the chemistry fizzles out (which usually happens when you over extend the initial chat), I ask for her facebook contact info and go my separate way.

I used to have these long email exchanges with girls before I asked them out, but I cut that out and recently. I've been opening with a light-tease on something they said when we first met a few days earlier.

    She'll usually respond playing along.

Then I just type "Awesome. Hey, do you ever hang around so-and-so-place often?" or "Hey, do you ever wander into whatever-town?"

    That's where I don't get a response.

It sounds like you're trying so hard that it shows and girls are picking up on that. Where exactly did you learn that you should tease girls to death?

Then I just type "Awesome. Hey, do you ever hang around so-and-so-place often?" or "Hey, do you ever wander into whatever-town?"
They're being nice until you ask them out. You lost them before that.

And don't ask girls out through email.

Ask a girl that you're meeting her through your email.
Tell a girl where you're meeting through the phone.
Propose a girl when you're face to face with her.

I second that. I would probably call / sms her ..

You know why you shouldn't email and ask for a date?

    1. If her company's email server went down ..say goodbye to your date. LOL. Your email is gone to 'blackhole'.

    2. Don't give her too much time to consider! The strategy here is not to give her too much time to consider about your date...get her to agree on the spot. Once a girl agree to a date, she will most likely turn up for it.

f*ck man, have you listened to anything I've said? Stop coming off as desperate and DO NOT talk to them on the computer for Christ's sake. That's what dates are for: talking and getting to know someone. You're killing your game by e-mailing these girls and talking to them on facebook. Not only are you removing any mystery about yourself that would keep them interested but it also makes you look insecure for not having the balls to talk to them in person.

The advice in this thread is excellent. For the record, 4 is not a high number. 40 would be.

You should never ask a girl out via email. It only shows that you too scared/not confident enough to ask them face-to-face. If you want a long-lasting relationship, you need to start with a good strong friendship. There is no point in "striking while the iron is hot", because you've got no relationship to start with. If you don't get an email back, it's safe to say they aren't really interested in you. You shouldn't be worried about meeting girls, they are harmless
