    New Tattoo Advice

Hi ya'll! Ok, so I got a black tattoo on my back about 10 days ago and it's about done with the healing process (I think) because I can't tell the difference between the tattoo and my skin anymore. Thing is, I have what looks like white outlines (which are not deliberate) around it when it's dry. I think it's dead skin or something? I don't know, but has anyone ever experienced anything like that with their black tattoo, and if so, what is it? I used cocoa Shea butter during the whole 10 days of aftercare (my artist has stopped using A&D for some reason and just says to use Lubriderm and non scented creams, said cocoa Shea butter was fine, too. I used the stick) and I'm not sure if maybe that's the reason it's like that. Don't know if knowing that I have dark skin helps but yeah, that, too. Can anyone help? Thanks!
I'm my own damn hero because the only person saving me is me.

well.... your tattoo should have started to peal already. when you get a tattoo, it's like scratching your skin numerous times, which is why they tell you to put some lotion. it helps with the healing process. however, you shouldn't worry because all that white shit that falls off is just dead skin.

The point is to keep it moisturized so just make sure it is but never layer on too much lotion because that will prevent oxygen from getting to it. So thin layers and just let it do it's thing.

I'm hoping soon but it's likely not going to be soon since i'm still trying to figure out the placement of the tat and i know what i want but still can't figure out the design. So maybe in the next couple months...

Didn't your artist tell you about tattoo goo? I used unscented cream for both my tats but he told me about the goo.

if you've got great skin like me, then you don't have to bother with lotion.
