I disputed/reported it, but it has me paranoid, now.

usually when you report and if it gets returned back to you because there was no dispute; they usually issue you with a new card. don't worry. these things are very easily worked out. i worked in a fraud dept before and dealt with this on a daily basis and cc company are more inclined to go with the purchaser rather than the retailer. the retailer if they dispute have to prove it. not you.

is it the amount? or the retailer?
I echo Eco....had a dispute with Amex, they suspended it, 8 weeks later they cleared it off my card.
No fret with purchases but I'm currently in a dispute about about an ATM withdrawl - I never got the cash but they insist i did. I'm really pissed because they don't believe their "system" can make a mistake. I'll challenge them to the bitter end.....

I never made a purchase at that retailer in over a week, and it claims the transaction was Saturday.
Plus, I never put 20 bucks in my tank for gas, I fill it all the way up then pay.
You've reported it, they'll suspended it. No fret at moment.
There was a lot of gas station fraud here recently. Apparently the gas attendants were keeping some ppls numbers, even getting PINs from the camera.
Just call the CC co and ask if they can send you a new card. Its no big deal to them. In fact, saves them money if it prevents fraud. They spend a lot of money on that stuff. Prevention is preferable.

Nah, it's Chase.
You'll get it back ... Some bitch bought something from me and it was really her, but she filed a claim with her CC and got $1500 back.
Credit card companies will always side with their customers ...
Anyway, my friend got a charge from a place called "Thai Me Up" and thought someone stole his card and used it. Turned out it was the credit card charge name for a restaurant called "Video Cafe" in the City ... funny shit though ... He called his CC company and filed a complaint.
no autographs, please!
