Me? Sorry, Mis. I've flown tons of times on Airbus with out problems. That was just one thing that stuck out in my mind.



Yea, that sucks. I was on a flight returning to Boston & the AC co-pilot was young, just out of the military. That landing, while perfectly safe, was *very* aggressive & gave me many of the grey hairs I have today.

I was on another flight coming into Ohare, literally with wheels about to touch when the pilot suddenly opened full throttle. It was like the guy being pushed back into his seat in the old Memorex commercial.

Once we were airborne & circling, he explained there was another plane directly in our path on the runway ahead of us.

Both of those planes were Boeings.

But, I've flown a LOT. Most flights are uneventful. The way I see it, once you are up, there's nothing to do anyway but enjoy yourself. You'll be fine.

have you ever been in a plane that has to do circles around the airport because of a microburst? i got so sick one time because of that. peoples were puking. my stomach is pretty strong but i was nauseous something fierce.

that was in denver. i guess there are lots of microbursts around that airport.

I was on a flight coming back from Colombia and we were surrounded by absolutely HUGE thunderheads. This was a Continental flight. Much higher than the 35,000 ft we were flying at. It was daytime, tho, so the pilots could see. It was pretty bumpy for a while.

I was on another flight that got struck (or very close) by ball lightning. It was night & we were in descent for landing. A huge fireball + explosion came out of nowhere on the left side of the plane, just in front of the wing. Funny thing is, there was very little bump from it. Just a big flash & boom.

Point is, all that stuff happened and the planes still landed safely.

Speaking of bad flights, my mom and a younger sister of mine were flying a couple of months back when one of the cockpit windows on the side of the aircraft apparently had a small crack in it, which when in mid-air caused the entire window to burst.

Probably wasn't the best of days for the pilots, but either way they landed without a hassle.

I used to want to be an astronaut, but I've had too many nightmares about it. Every time I've had dreamed about going into space (I used to a lot) I would wake up terrified.
