To my experience (experiences and opinions may differ) one of the better, if not the best, lubricant is Muko Lubricating Jelly. It's
bacteriostatic, non-conductive and water soluble. It eases insertion of urdogical catheters, rectal thermometers, enemas, tampons and it lubricates condoms and provides personal lubrication. Plus it's pretty cheap and lasts a lot longer than most of the other lubricants I know.
