The importance of moving on, really.
"If you love something, set it free. If it comes back to you, it's yours. If it doesn't, it never was."
An old Chinese proverb that often gets quoted but hardly practiced, especially in relationships. I had a tough time with the break up a year ago, but have moved on, although not completely, just almost.
Today I found out thru a friend that my ex is expecting, exactly a year after we broke it off. Not sure how many months pregnant she is. But it clearly shows it was never meant to be, as much as you try to make things work sometimes. good lesson for those trying to win back their ex bf, gf, significant others.
Short of invitro, we tried a few fertility options when we were together the past year. nothing worked. And now she finds another partner, and gets pregnant? Gods work all I can say.
Good for her, I am happy for her and hope that she finally changes for the better. I still love her, and am no longer bitter about the break up, just hope this time she is a better partner in her new relationship for the baby's sake.
"Ah, women. They make the highs higher and the lows more frequent." Nietzsche
There are two dilemmas... that rattle the human skull. How do you hold onto someone who won't stay? And how do you get rid of someone who won't go?
