Should you wait till marriage to have sex?

Hi everyone. I was just wondering what everyone's opinions on this were. Do you think that people should wait until marriage to have sex or not? I do. Please vote in my poll. Also, let's not turn this in to a religious debate as those are not allowed on Love Forum.

Sex is an important part of a relationship... so how would you know if you were compatible with someone enough to marry if you've never had sex with them?

Albeit, sex is not the most important thing... but without it, it tends to wear heavily on the relationship... even being one of the causes of its demise.

Some people want to sex almost everyone that comes their way. It's your prerogative.

It can be a religious issue but by reading the rules on this forum, I get the idea that we are not allowed to discuss religion at all on this forum. That is why I said no debate concerning religion.

I think if being a virgin when you get married is important to you, then you should definitely wait. Sex has varying levels of importance, depending on the people involved. It is only as special as you - yourself - consider it.

I know a few girls in that situation. Since the relationships just started, they will take some time to assess. It would be very nice to read a study about it. {EDIT: There was a study posted huh? LOL}

I do know one that states that she is indeed too young to marry (but she is). She just turned 21 in March.

I know I wouldn't be ready for marriage at that age. However, they are probably thinking it's better to be married and then maybe divorce than to have sex with a "plain boyfriend" and then breakup. Marriage is a quality relationship to them.

People say that marriage should last and to wait for marriage...but in the meantime sex a [highly probable temporary] boyfriend?
