Black characters on prime time shows

why aren't there any or many main characters on prime time shows?

my favourites are:

Lost

Fringe

Stargate's

Eleventh Hour (it sucks, but educational to some extent)

Now Lost has/had Harold Perrineau who has not appeared much.

And Fringe has Jasika Nicole who plays an assistant and Lance Reddick who plays an agent, but once again not main characters.

Stargate does have Christopher Judge. so that's one so far.

TBH, I'm pretty bored of Obama already. He is advertised way too much. Everywhere I turn I see a shirt, a pencil, a ****ing license plate for God's sake. I'm annoyed, you'd swear the guy was jesus.
