    I love my neighborhood

Inspired by Pettit-Papillon, I wondered what you love about your neighborhood (not the things you can DRIVE to, but the things within walking distance).

This is one of the canyons that I walk through almost every day. I absolutely love it. Lots of wildlife... Obviously, it's winter.

Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

    Purdy.

When I lived on the coast I used to jog a path that ran between the bay and a little saltwater lake. There were TONS of deer on that path. Flocks of them. I once caught a deer between the bay and the lake and chased her on my bicycle. I kept pace with her until we passed the lake, then she took a sharp left turn and disappeared into the woods. I could almost reach out and grab her tail.

Gerbil, thats beautiful! Just remember if your were to grab her tail, that would be *touching* and you might violate the deer's personal space.

Nah, I wouldn't post a picture of my house.

I had a couple more pictures of the brightly colored houses down here. They're pretty common here.

The first picture is a cemetery. Notice the tombs on the left and right.

Hah - I thought they looked like fancy headstones, but all the cemeteries here are on grass.

    Nice!

For those coming to Van (you know who you are), view from my backyard:

And this is about 30 min walk from my house (BlueSum, don't tell, k?):
