Oh, my god! I'm in heaven. I made the best dinner ever. I cooked a two inch thick pork chop in the same pan as some sliced potatoes and onions. The juices from the pork mixed with the potatoes and they taste amazing. Plus I seasoned it all with a little rosemary and some hot sauce for the potatoes. Just enough to get the flavor without burning. For a side I roasted a red pepper on an open flame, then peeled the skin and cut it in strips. I cooked that in a pan along with some okra, sliced chilis, shallots and garlic. This, my friends, is a meal fit for a man. I don't care if it knocks a few months off my lifespan. It's worth it.
God, so atrocious in the Old Testament, so attractive in the New--the Jekyl and Hyde of sacred romance.

If people are good only because they fear punishment and hope for reward, then we are a sorry lot indeed.
