Awesome, I hope you like it better, too. Which Linux did you get? Ubuntu?

I don't think I have the guts to go through with it. I like the familiar.

Ubuntu really isn't that much faster than xp imho. It's loaded down with almost as much crap, but once you clean it out it's nice. I'm running it on my older computer that I run as a file server.

Who cares how fast it is, if it's fast enough?

It's a trustworthy platform that's finally getting credit. People have been giving into this stupid 'Windows is the answer for everything' fallacy. I'm glad people are trying other things. There's hope left.

    Bravo!

I still stick to vista on my laptop until it gets stuffed and screws up (original, still), then i switch to linux. recently I found out that in fact I could do all my stuff on linux also.

Old computer runs on XP and windows sends me spyware, ****in cunts.

yeah i kinda had to go through with it. windows was giving me crap about something. then it was either pay a thousand dollars for windows or get linux.

lol i used it on my laptop so it's not so bad. windows was giving me all kinds of problems. fkcu them.

I'd love to use ubuntu. However, I still enjoy the occasional video game. I would absolutely love to see Linux rise up and topple the Microsoft Empire.

Really I hate when people complain that windows sucks, windows is bad, windows crashes, it's got too many problems. Chances are the problem is user error and something anyone that knows anything about the operating system can easily diagnose and fix.

More than likely the problem isn't even with the operating system but something you installed or a virus/spyware/adware that is screwing things up.

Learn to diagnose things and fix it yourself and you won't have problems. The only reason linux gets it's reputation for being stable and reliable is because, there's less viruses for them, there's less programs, and the people that have actually used linux actually know what they're doing unlike most windows users.

You are partly right. there just aren't enough spywares for linux. for example. You don't install enough programs for linux, compared to windows.
BUT, windows itself is giving me all this shit I don't need. ****, its turning into a mac. Yes, mac is worse, if you don't know, its only for people who want to look the same.
