Girl I like I haven't talked to in a couple months

Theres this girl I like and she used to have one of my classes and we talked in that class briefly in that class about work tho so I havent had a real conversation with her but I got switched out that class so its been a couple months since i talked to her period. We passed looks at each other in the hallway but thats it. Ive wanted to tell her I liked her for awhile now but I kept putting it off because of shyness but I'm starting to get over that. So i want to tell her how i feel but like i said it's been a couple months so it must be awkward, is there anything I can say or do to make it less awkward or make it my advantage? Or can i just say it?

Oh yea im 16 and i think shes 1 year youger (yea i know we're young)

I wasn't discounting your problem because you are young, Klass, just that advice may be different depending on age and experience.

Don't pour your heart out just yet. Why not a friendly conversation where you are just yourself? Re-establish contact right now ... worry about romance later.
