If you take a red neck out of a pick up truck you get a pick up truck with no red neck and we know that is a contradiction. A pick up truck with out a red neck? haha yea right.

I question his reason for crying... Was he crying because it wasn't him that was elected, or because Obama was the first black man elected? He hates Obama, you know... They could have been tears of frustration.

Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

I just got back from a really fun election-watching party at a bar down the street. They had the coverage playing on a big screen TV and a DJ spinning during the commercials. Everytime Obama won another state, the crowd went wild. It was good times.

Just watching Obama's speech now, and it's a great one. There are still fireworks going off here in NYC and people are whooping it up in the streets. It's nice to see everyone here so happy.

the dems just took everybody out all over the country. people are SICK to death of republicans. except for people in mississippi, georgia, and alabama, who would rather see another republican come in and go into an economic depression and get into one war after another just as long as a black person doesn't get voted in.

I'm relieved. Our stocks won't tank.

Seriously, I am glad he won. Soon the Bush years will be a nasty memory. I just hope ppl don't put this man on too high a pedestal. I was a bit weirded out by the 'call-answer' preacher type response he started to get in his victory speech (all that 'yes we can').

Yes, he's smart and a great speaker. Yes, he was the best candidate. But he's just one man, however well he's got his shit together. America has the tendency to pull down its glamour children once the sheen wears off. Don't do that to this guy, he's got a lot of potential. Let him do his job & help if you can.

Congrats you guys. Obama kicks ass.

It's truly a historic moment! Not just the fact that the first African American was elected to the highest level of power in US, but also the fact that the man elected was the one who disagreed on most major issues and decision made by Bush. The landslide defeat of the GOP today shows that people of US are ready to go into a new, better direction. I think better diplomacy, moderation and a better standing in the world will be additional benefits of this victory.

I suspect Republican party will fall into disarray after this and I predict a lot of in fighting. I hope they will carefully analyze how the past 8 years led them down to this defeat today and expunge all the ideologies that led them in this direction. I hope this will help them change for the better.

Wow, what a victory! It's still hard to believe it actually happened.

The 'yes we can' crap was totally a Hillary thing.

Anyone see Mccain's speech where he congratulated Obama? The crowd kept booing like a bunch of rabid hyenas.
