    Lipstick Lesbians/Bi Curious

What is it today with the prevalence of lipstick lesbians/bi curious females?

Why does it seem so cool to have a lesbian experience?

Is it because porn has made it more acceptable and that celebrities are either coming out or insinuating that they are lesbian/bi curious?

Is it because a lot of men find it a turn on and therefore make it more socially acceptable?

I would be interested to read people's thoughts.

Well, I honestly don't know what you're talking about with the lipstick.

I don't know why some chicks think it's cool to make out with other chicks at parties and so forth. It's a derogatory remark towards people who actually have those feelings.

ye i know what you mean with the attention seeking thing.

women have become more outspoken ......but some have not become more confident as the years have gone by (in respect of womens lib).

the first i ever heard of men liking lesbians was thru the sitcom 'friends'. it makes sense tho of course for every guy out there. its now openly admitted by guys whereas before that it wasn't.

attention seeking women have tapped into this and are so called 'coming out' or at least insinuating (for the HOT factor).......and then when they mature it stops...its sad really, some girls just want to please men no matter what

(and ladie i'm not referring to you at all (incase your para about that) your case was curiosity and you were horny, completely normal)

I'm against lesbians...all it means for me is less women for us guys.

Sarcasm aside I don't care if someone is gay/bi/lesbian. But I think it's stupid when women make out with each other at clubs or parties just to get a guys attention.

meh, I wouldn't mind making out with a girl just to see what it's like. I want to know what it feels like for a guy to kiss me, or a girl for that matter.
It has never crossed my mind to do it in a club for attention.

It's only the ugly ones that go all lesbian so it doesn't really worry me.

But I'm not sexually excited by girl on girl action. Unless I was in the middle, then it would be very exciting.

I don't think I've ever met the type. I've only known true hardcore lesbians (who don't shave their legs or anything else etc.) at work and that's about it. I don't know what to say. Doesn't bother me. Live and let live.

Curiously enough I had two classmates back in middle school, they were one-egg twins of different genders, and the girl was lesbian and the guy was gay.

What are the odds? Should be some underlying factor.

I just posted in another bi thread...I see this is a hot topic:

Yep people are going to fuss at me but it's because the porn has made it more acceptable and some men socially accept female on female and because it's 'different' they find it to be a sexual turn on. However, I am learning that a few men are cautious into marrying a bi curious woman for various reasons.

Well thanks for pointing that out Eco cuz I actually was a little bit offended by this thread. Well, IF it was towards me in any way, I'd like to point out that I am not the type to kiss women in public just to turn the guys on. Shit, I wouldnt do it period. I find that to be very pathetic. What are you really getting out of it? I had already felt weird posting it in the first place cuz I feared you guys would judge me because I would have sex with a woman. If I were to have sex with a woman, I would treat it as I treat any other sex partner, its a private thing between you and I.

I've seen the evolution of what you are talking about, Dasein. When I was growing up, although the curiosity was there, it was definitely NOT okay to express interest in sexual activity with someone of the same gender. Nowadays, a lot of high school girls claim to be bi-sexual. I DO think it has to do with attention-seeking from boys, but I think a few are simply confused. Teenagers have so many hormones raging out of control, they'd engage in sexual activity with a doorknob. Because of this indiscriminate horniness, the confused question their sexual preferences. I've seen it happen with kids on this forum. In the end, they usually end up being straight once their hormones begin to calm down, or once it is no longer "fashionable" to be bi-sexual.

EDIT: Ironically, I don't see gay kids question their sexuality as much as straight kids.

I agree. It's a confusing time for teens as they settle into their sexuality and hormones. And many will engage in sexual activity with a doorknob or anything else someone may suggest as okay. They have peers and their hormones to deal with. If I were the teen I would wait until I am much older before engaging in sexual activity with another person so that I don't 'accidently' f**k any and everybody that come in my way. Of course we can't successfully guide the kids on this forum. If I had kids...... The stress of parenthood. I empathize with the parents.

Honestly, most young women engaging in this behaviour are just experimenting. Sometimes the idea of doing something 'forbidden' is sexually exciting, even if it isn't your normal sexual preference. I get excited by some very kinky ideas I'd never actually put into practice.

I would also never kiss a girl to turn on/get the interest of men.

The way of the world. It seems everything that was viewed once as immoral is getting popular. I think people should not pretend to be gay just because they are curious. The media and celebrities like Madonna and Britney have made this so popular. But why is it a double standard in our society....meaning it is okay for two straight women to experience bi-sexuality but if it were two straight boys being curious, you never hear the end of it. Confession: Watching Brokeback Mountain turned me on.

Yeah, lesbians are cool and acceptable, but gay guys aren't. Holy double standard.
