Do you think it helps McCain's chances? I was talking to a friend of mine and he thought people would vote for his ticket because she's pretty. I'm not so sure.

Looks are every bit as important as competence when it comes to politics. I don't think McCain's going to get into office simply because he has an attractive sidekick, though.

He'll make it because there are enough racists out there who won't vote a black man into office simply because he's black. He'll make it because there's a horde of uneducated, simple-minded people who want a guy in office who'll kick the pants off America's enemies.

More recent photos of her aren't quite so flattering. She's still attractive, but she's closer to Palin's level.

She's a very popular governor in her home state with a population of a little over 600,000 people, but I don't know about good.
