Little update on my life, I suppose ...

Well, I'm up a bit late watching "The Incredible Hulk" and drinking a few brews ... I got class at 1:00PM, so I'm all good anyhow.

Sooo ... my wife finally touched down in July, hence the lack of posting. I have read the forums here and there. I can't keep up with all the new threads ... I'd love to give some advice, but I've been dealing with my own problems with the whole "culture shock" thing. She's adjusting alright, but she's having a horrible time finding a job. I don't feel the need to rush her since she did pack up and leave her whole life to be with me. I should be more grateful at times, but sometimes, I'm naturally an asshole. I guess I need to adjust myself too ... I'm so happy she's here tho ... She completes me ... as cliche as that may seem.

Aside from all of that, I have become a tutor to elementary school kids in my area. I got hired through a program at my school which works perfectly for me since my schedule is all over the place. Plus, I work with underprivileged children, so I feel like I'm accomplishing much more. But I can't wait to just finish college already ... this will be a long "senior" year ... if that's what we're supposed to call it with this horrible California budget. It could take more than a year for me to be up outta this place. The sooner I graduate, the sooner I can feel a bit more stable. Even if the job market ain't too great, I got enough hookups to land a job here. I just need that damn degree.

Oh yeah ... I've been really into karaoke. In fact, I got so into it, I friggin' paid over $500 for a Magic Sing system with a shitload of music chips to keep me and the family busy. The iPhone is pretty legit too, I must say. I've been stuck with free phones my whole life, but when a buddy hooked me up, I took the opportunity and got myself one. Pretty fun for someone like me.

Well, that's my update for now ... I got thrown off by Liv Tyler on the TV, so f*ck it ... I'll end it here ... Hope everyone is alright ... Let me know how y'all are doing as well ... Keep it safe, everyone.

I suppose that although this is amazing news, it is also a little stressful, what with the job market being bad. Just hang in there, it will all be worth it.

My tutoring program recommended that I apply for a scholarship for "Students in Service" ... and guess what logo I saw on the application form: AmeriCorps. I immediately thought of you, Choi.
