How to strike conversation with receptionist

So there's this nice girl who is a receptionist at the dentist. She basically checks me in when I go there once a month. But so far, I haven't found the right opening sentences. What should I say? I do have the guts for approaching random girls, but not yet a receptionist.

    Thanks

Comment on her teeth just to get things started, it is a dental office, lol...say something funny, make her smile.

Ask her how long she's been there, does she live in the area or commute? Where did she go to school? *filler conversation*..."hey wanna hang out sometime?" Or, "hey I'm going to *insert place* this weekend, was wondering if you want to come?"

whatever you decide, talk to her as you are leaving. that way you can leave yourself an exit regardless of how things turn out.

Talk something that will make her smile, like
"I love to be here to have my teeth done because of your high end facilities, the doctors, nurses and especially you"..LOL!
Sometimes we will make our face thick so that we will over come shyness...

It should be "put you on notice" and not "give you notice."

obviously, it's their turn to say something. And take things from there.
