between a 50yr old and a 22yr old. Both are female.

    Is it healthy?

Why wouldn't it be healthy? A 50 year old can offer a lot of guidance and support to a 22 year old.

My sister is 22 and has some friends that age. When I worked in home improvement I had friends of all ages, a Bolivian optician in his 60s, a Vietnam veteran in his 50s who dropped acid and shot up heroin with his buddies in they survived the day, all types of people that I came into contact with on a daily basis. We would talk for a couple of hours sometimes during the shift I think it's good to have friends of all ages

No it is not good at all. 50+ year old people should have no friends and be left alone in a old folks home.

Nah, age doesn't matter. Just don't be friends with fat people.

I kept in contact w/an old teacher/mentor of mine with that kind of age discrepancy b/t us. He's passed away since, but so long as there's nothing inappropriate about the friendship I don't see a problem.

Of course it's healthy. I highly recommended it.

I'd call myself 'friends' with some people on here... who are much older than me. Some of them I talk to every day.

In reality, I do have a few friends who are that much older than me.

Fair enough, everyone has a good point.

What about when 90% of your friends are in their 30s+ and you don't get along with people your age, funnily enough, because they think you're immature?

I am very well in the same predicament myself. Most of the people I hang out with are 24-30 years old. Some of my college buddies are 20-21 years old.. I even have 2 who are my age.

In fact, I don't spend a lot of time socializing with people because, frankly, all people ever seem to talk about is stupid shit!
