I always thought that was a pretty good argument, but then it has the flaw of - so 'the most perfect island' is perfect, it is more perfect to be real then imaginary so 'the most perfect island' must exist. The problem is that it doesn't.

But then the island is just materialistic whereas God is something completely different so the argument doesn't work for the island, where is does for God.

"So one elephant with a trunk is odd but all elephants with trunks is a conspirary?"

I don't need to. Your argument is fundamentally flawed because it assumes God is perfect. Even if one assumes the bible is literal truth (and I don't), there are plenty of examples of God's imperfections in there.

This argument is soooo old. Mish & I were over this ages ago in a recent thread (look up the thread). The final conclusion (the same one Russell, Dawkins, et al arrived at) is that you can't rationalize belief. Its apples & oranges. Those who try just end up looking like idiots.
