    Family Disapproval Of My Boyfriend

Hi everyone. I am having no problems with the female members of my family. Its the male members of my family that I am having the problems with. First of all, both me and my boyfriend were just recently Pagans. We both converted back to Christianity within the past couple of days though. My dad says that Pagans are devil worshipers and while he knows that I am back to Christianity, he still is mad at me. I think the main problem is that my Grandma mentioned that I had bought condoms for when Chris comes down to see me. My dad is angry with that and thinks that Chris will just use me for sex but I know he won't. Chris and I have not yet met but will meet within the next couple of weeks. I am worried about my male family members accepting Chris. He is 10 1/2 years older than me which kind of complicates things so if you all could please offer some advice, I'd appreciate it.

you should just renounce religion in general.

honestly though, your father hasn't got a say in this because you ARE an adult.

Your father has absolutely no say. I'm sure that you feel that alienating your father would be a bad idea, yet you simply need to discuss this with him, or just ride it out. I'm sure he will get over it eventually.

I know my dad has no say but I am just worried he'll do something stupid like yell at my boyfriend or something. My boyfriend and I said we would discuss this when he comes online this evening.

How old are both of you?

however, your dad might do something like yell at him, but that's more immature than stupid.

oh wait, i totally missed that part that you two didn't meet you. now i can see why your father is tripping. i would personally slap your head for doing something like this because it's pretty obvious that he's only into sex... shit, if you really want to, i'd fly up to wherever you live just to get laid. actually i wouldn't, but i know there are a lot of freaks on the internet that would.

Geez, purchasing condoms for a guy that you haven't met in person yet? Back away. And not slowly. If the two of you have discussed/agreed to it before meeting in person it is a classic case of an older guy who's looking for one thing, and you don't need to be a rocket scientist to recognize what.

As for the religious side of things...Atheism(non-belief) all the way!

I'm with your dad on this one, and I agree with Lipp. Who buys condoms for someone they haven't even met? Why are you all hot and bothered over some internet guy?

Tell him that God sent this boy to you and if he uses you for sex then it was meant to happen. Take that religious fundamentalists.

You are an adult and you also have right to choose your religion.

Religion is not something you born with. religion is found through journey of life. Some people never find it, thats maybe because they don't need it.
    Don't expect anything.

    Baaahaha! I love Boobaa today.

I don't believe for a minute that Chris is suddenly back to Christianity. I think he just figures that's the way into your Jesus-loving honeypot. I have just one thing to say about this relationship:
