we are dating for several weeks now.. kinda of serious...but not move to a so called relationship yet.. although it seems just a matter of time.

i really have no idea what to pick up for his b-day.. my first time to give a man a present.. help!!!

What are some of his interest? We have no idea who he is but you're asking us to help you figure out a gift. Does he have any hobbies? Play any sports? Types of foods he likes?

Problems I see with a book or CD.

She sounds like she's young, most young people don't read for enjoyment anymore.

Most people don't use CD's anymore because of mp3 players.

Maybe true, but she said it was a gift for a man. I know lots of men that read. in fact, most men I know read something. Could be right about the CD, though. Still, I see lots of people buying them.

The most important thing is to keep it simple. You barely know the guy - don't overdo it. It doesn't have to be the best gift he ever received... just something thoughtful and not too expensive.

Pick something practical, something that he might like to use, examples:

A jacket
A nice shirt
Cologne
A watch

Or something for his hobbies

Video game (If he's into that)
His favourite TV show on DVD
Some sport equipment (If he's sporty)
Some musical equipment (If a musician)

I had a stalker get me a wallet...I'll admit I really liked the wallet, she used my sister to find out that I wanted it.

But then again that's another thing that depends on the guy. He may be picky like me and only like certain ones or he may not care. I think a sweater is pretty foolproof. Especially one that is of a team or even a brand or style he wears.
