Thing is, the program I was going to sign up for isn't training, it's a PRE-apprenticeship program.

It's basically a worker's program...basically it's to get people who've never had a job, to get familiar with what it takes to get and keep a job.

I'd rather jump into the working field, get some experience, then quit later to join a union.

That's just how these jobs work.

If you don't like your boss or whatever, you just quit and get another job with another company.
