I met my man in school, I thought he looked like a dork, but with potential. You know one of those dorks who can look sorta cute if only he does something about his style. Okay, so we've dated, got to know each other, and now we're an item. Okay, I got this dork to dress a little better, but the hair, he doesn't seem to get a haircut often, so sometimes, I insinuate that he gets one. He feels like I'm not accepting him for who he is. So I tell him that if I didn't accept you for who you are, I wouldn't even go out with you. I told him I was not tryin to change him. I told him that I liked him mentally and physically, and how his personality is cool and it aint like I'm tellin him to get a plastic surgery. :sigh: I don't know what I can do to convince him to get a haircut. I mean the gear, he's getting there, but it's the hair...man. He only goes to the barbershop every 4-6 weeks. I never shaved a guy's hair before, but I offered him to cut his hair, and he won't let me.

I suggest you offer him a trade. If you can tell him when and how to get his hair cut, he gets to make an equally personal decision for you, and you have to stick with it.

See, it ain't like I'm tellin him to get a penis enlargment, dental work, to eat more and workout more so he can get thicker with muscles, I dont tell him all that. I'm NOT sayin anything that will alter his body.

Over the course of my life, I have lived in a house with seven different males (including relatives). Five of them kept their hair cut pretty short. I have never seen any of them get their hair cut more frequently than 6 weeks.

Anyway, who cares? It's his hair. Quit being a nag.

LOL, no make sure you find a man that showers every day. That's pretty basic. Tell him he needs to get a haircut & he'll go. Simple.

But if you want to dress him up like Barbie Ken, then you'll have to buy his clothes for him. Throw away what you don't like (just make sure its not his favourite lumberjack shirt, or something). Most guys don't care about stuff like that, IMO. Unless they are gay or high-maintenance metrosexuals.
