    GIRLS - This is my first time posting, it is not a long post, please respond!!!

    Okay here is my situation..
    My x-girlfriend text me and said;

    X- "I thought you should know I have been thinking about you a lot lately, and I miss you, alot."

    ME- "Okay"

    X- "Okay??? Is that all i get?!? I dont even get an i miss you too?? Is that all i'm worth!!!??"

    ME- "I dont deserve this."

    X- "Deserve what? You know I was just kidding about that last text, right?"

    AND SINCE THEN we spoke on the phone a couple days later and she claims she sincerely does not know what is wrong.

    Okay now here's the deal. We have been broken up for months and we talk or text almost every other day. She knows I am madly in love with her because I convey it to her often. This is quite a shock to me that she may be manipulating me, BUT in the very beginning of our 3 year relationship she was manipulative.. then we fell in love and she stopped being manipulative.

    GIRLS- WHAT IS UP WITH HER???

    One, text messages fail.

    Two, she sounds like she'd be very happy for you to obsess over her more than you already do. Why are you still talking to her again? She's your /ex/. You /broke up/. This means /something happened/. Yes, I know I'm a hypocrite by saying just that. But my ex-boyfriend isn't unreasonable or trying to get me to obsess over him. As for the kidding part, she may have just been covering for herself. Honestly, who uses that kind of punctuation when they're kidding? At least put a ;) on the end. -__-;

    She wants to know youre still pining over her. Its an x boyfriend check! Dont give her the satisfaction youre waiting in the wings here. Definetly stop telling her you love her. Let her come back to you and chase you and see what happens then.
    everything happens for a reason...beginning to wonder why.

    Aren't we all really? Doomed to help others but never ourselves.

    Mum's wisdom: Never say certain things in writing (I love you is one of them, I miss you is another, but the list is huge). When I say never, I really mean it.

    I disagree! I keep some love letters my boyfriend wrote in my purse. I read them occasionally. I love seeing his feelings splattered all over the page, and it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

    I agree completely. Words come and go, but to see "I LOVE YOU" handwritten, or even texted, never hurt anyone. Never be ashamed of your feelings, just don't make yourself into a doormat because of them either.

    CookieMonster: She's an insensitive attention whore.

    Tedel: 'I love you' in writing can be a beautiful thing.

    What you never want to put in writing are things involving criticism or talking shit about another person, esp in a work environment. Unless its the notice you are letting them go.
