Nothin' wrong with looking. For that matter, nothing wrong with touching. But that's debatable.

Pulling your cell out during a date is downright insulting. It should be off and forgotten until you've escorted her to her (or better yet, your) door. I don't blame her for feeling jealous and upset. Apparently you're more interested in sending smilies to your friends than you are sharing her company.

Lilwing, if these are the things that make you jealous then I I have to say it isn't bullshit that it annoys her. Leaving an ultimatum like that is not cool. If you can't deal with a girl the way she is, find a girl who conforms to your standards. Don't threaten. Do. Threats are for cowards.

for the #4, is it bullshit that the person gets upset, or bullshit that the person whips out the phone and starts texting in the middle of a date, or both?

The second one. If somebody started texting in the middle of a date, I'd get up and leave.
