Quick advice...

There's another girl at work that I've started to like, and she's made it pretty clear she's interested. We've been trading flirty e-mails and the like for the past week (we basically just met on Tuesday).

Friend of mine is holding a party on Sunday. She's been invited, but I kind of wanted to send a "make sure she's coming" type of e-mail (I won't see this girl today). Is this the right play, and how should I phrase it? This is obviously a route I haven't taken before.

Send her a very casual email along the lines of "just writing to say hi as i won't see you today bla bla bla, throw in joke or two etc, see you sunday"

I like this except for the "I won't see you today" bit.

I usually don't see her. We're in completely different departments...that would sound a bit weird. I can just reply to the e-mail she sent me yesterday after I left.

If she is, and you are feeling bold, you can add:

Wanna go together? I understand parking can be tough. I can pick you up.
