I recently bought the Sega Genesis Collection for my PSP. Has lots of classics on it, like Sonic, Vector Man, Shinobi, Golden Axe, etc.

Remember Sonic and Knuckles, where you could open the top part of the cartridge and pop in Sonic 2 or Sonic 3? LOL, I loved that

Dude, Mario kicked turtles and threw fireballs. How is that not tough? Sonic rolled and wore red striped tennies.

    Mario is timeless.

Sonic was born of the 90's fad to be "xtreme".

NES's 8 bit graphics will always have a special etched memory in the back of my head.

Mario had some sweet music too. The theme song.. underworld music... the music that played while you were fighting the hammer bros...

so basically it comes down to another duel... mario kart or sonic riders... it's pretty simple.

I still have my NES, SNES and Sega Genesis... and have played them all recently. I LOVE Mario! I just need to get my NES working again, now.

I agree that Mario is timeless. He IS the posterboy for Nintendo.

I got my NES in 1988 and all the Mario games entertained me. Although, I'm more of a Zelda guy.

Sonic had his time to shine during the Genesis age. But I think Sega makes better sports games nowdays.

Doesnt brings up a good point. You could walk into any public place and hum/whistle/vocable any old school mario song and people will recognize it. Who the hell remembers sonic music?
