Winter is good for skiing... And I like to ski... So... I like winter

you'll fall on your ass a lot. there will be many bruises. your ass will be purple, and i am not being sarcastic.
senior trip i went to denver and snowboarded for the first and last time of my life. i think i did permanent damage to my knees and neck when i went snowboarding. lots of bails. i rolled all the way down that mountain.
ouch..
ice skating is better. At least you're not speeding down a slope. Though frankly any sport that involves strapping things to your feet or standing on things and moving at high speeds are scary.
Skiing is all about speed (at least the way I ski). And the moguls too... Snowboards are better for the terrain park and doing tricks. Not that you can't do tricks on skis.
Illusional if you get the chance, go skiing or snowboarding. It's so much fun... Especially when you ski drunk, which I did quite often. That was always a fun challenge.
whoa, i would think anything drunk would be fun, but i probably would make an ass out of myself.
tiay.. but you strap your iceskates to your feet. considering, have you every rollerbladed?? you strap those to your feet and if you're daring enough, you can go speeding down the hill like i used to. damn, i got so many scares on my knees though.

I know, I merely said it was better, not that it isn't scary. I only ice skated a few times though, and that was at a pretty slow pace. I wasn't one of those losers who spends the entire session holding on to the side railing, though.
Yeah I've gone rollerblading. I wont try that again soon though, because I was going down this hill but I knew I was going to fall because the path curved around and i'm no good at corners, and my brother was standing there and I was yelling "****ING CATCH ME!!!"..
..and he didn't.
Nothing bad happened though. When I was like 15 or so, I sped down a very steep hill on my bike, zoomed right onto the main road (right where there's a blind spot, too) and then turned 90 degrees into another road, that had been freshly topped up with gravel... which all slipped away beneath the wheels, and I skidded along and totally tore open my elbow. Ugly ass scar not only that but I had to cycle home.
oh, that sounds painful.
btw.. did you hear about this? http://www.forbes.com/feeds/ap/2007/07/18/ap3929004.html
I was like three avenues west of grand central, watching people run by with soot-covered umbrellas, I'll admit it was a bit alarming.
haha sounds like a bad episode of scarred... damn. i'm pretty lucky in that i've never broken any bones so i don't think i'll try drunken sports.

Skiing and paintball are the two best sports to drink while you play
Enjoy NYC. I think it may be hard to get used to at first, but you'll come to love it. I spent freshman year of college at NYU, downtown. You should definitely go check out Greenwich Village's arts scene. lots of Jazz and Comedy clubs.
yeah, I'm not really a big city person, but I do love this city. I'm on 1st ave between 1st and 2nd, so everything downtown is pretty much within walking distance, plus the F/V is right outside my building, it rocks
