    Boyfriend Doesn't buy me gifts

    I've been with my boyfriend for 6 months now - I'm 24, he's 33.

The whole time we have been toghether he has never bought me a gift/flowers or anything. But he does bring me out to restuarants etc for dinner 3 or more times a week and picks me up/drives me home and cooks dinner every now and again.

being a romantic girl, I'd love flowers every now and again.

Should I be concerned that he's never bought me anything?

I've kinda hinted out at the topic, to no avail.

Maybe he doesn't like wasting his hard-earned money purchasing you clumps of dying flowers. That is one of the most bizarre customs I've ever seen.

Be happy he's taking you out so often and don't fuss over gifts.

Some people are socially clueless. Considering he takes you out to dinner so much he is obviously really into you. Because of this you should NOT be concerned about the flowers thing. He might perceive flower giving as being some cliche, outdated romantic thing that people don't do anymore. It also just might not be his style. Absolutely nothing to be worried about. If you would like him to give you flowers or chocolates or jewelry or whatever, maybe you should try bringing it up casually how much you like flowers. If he doesn't pick up on that hint (lots and lots of guys probably don't), maybe drop a less subtle hint. But he should figure it out and buy some for you.

i mean i'm sure they both greatly love each other, and she must give some amazing head..or not. but i don't see why some people get caught up with the whole materialistic part of a relationship. does your daddy still buy you gifts everytime that you're a good girl??

maybe you can impress him with your godly mole. haha...

on the real, i'm sure that he is happy, otherwise he wouldn't be taking her to dinner 3 times a week. that shit doesn't come cheap, and i'm sure that they aren't going to mcdonalds to hit up their dollar menu.

If you are one of those girls who require a lot of romancing, it is probably best to acknowledge it and accept the fact that this may not be the right guy for you. You two may simply not be a match because that clearly isn't his style.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

romance is passion. BUYING AND RECIEVING GIFTS IS NOT PASSION. if you think it is, then you haven't experienced romance yet.
