I say go out with her. And on one of the first dates, ask her what she's looking for as a dater. Is she looking for a short term thing (want to enjoy her youth)? Is she dating to hopefully find that one person worthy of a long term relationship? Ask her what her status is. Simplest way to find out, right?

Yeah. But I often find doing stuff like this tends to make things go kinda flat. It's similar to professing how you feel about a girl too early. I think a little mystery and uncertainty is healthy in the beginning. And if I do go out with this girl, I think it'd figure itself out. Body language and what she does and all that would speak volumes about what she wants.

It's not at ALL like professing how you feel. If I ask you how you're doing, does that tell you that I'm happy or sad or whatever? You're asking what her view on dating is. It's a simple question about HER. It doesn't tell ANYTHING. Just ask her casually, "So what's your view on dating?" if she asks why, you tell her what YOUR view is. Best way to see if she's on the same page or not.

Not at all. It'll speak volumes about whether she's attracted to you right then and there. It speaks NOTHING about whether she's looking for a long term relationships or just for fun.

Well, I went in there. Nothing happened. It was a little weird. This place is situated in such a way that I can see the workers long before I'm in there and vice versa. She sees me coming and quickly whispers something to her coworker and shuffles to the back to put saran wrap over the breakfast buns. She didn't even look at me the whole time I was there. I went out on the patio to eat my sandwich, got really talking with this nice couple that was sitting there, and then went back in to refill my soda. At that point she was totally staring at me. With mixed signals like that, I decided to not make an ass of myself

So I dunno... my flirting with her has entirely been just reciprocating hers. Maybe the fact that I was in there yesterday and came back today made it obvious my intent and she got nervous. Or, I just misread her the whole time. Maybe next time, although I doubt it honestly...
