I think it goes both ways really. Sometimes women tell a guy that they love them when they dont mean it, and sometimes men say it to women. I can only imagine that at the time they say it they may actually mean it. Alternatively it could also relate to their motives. If you're scared that someone will take advantage of you then maybe you should just take things slowly.

Yeah. Thats the confusing thing with relationships though. I guess thats why you need to find someone your compatible with. In theory I think the best way to end up with a suitable partner is to be friends for a while, build a strong bond by being there for eachother during the good and the bad. If a spark is there, then it should happen quite naturally over time.

Well, I don't suggest dating one of your closest friends incase it ruins things.. but when you do meet a nice guy who you feel you maybe interested in maybe you should try being friends for a while before letting anything else happen. Sometimes people rush into things too quickly.. the relationship gets complicated and then they find out things they dont like about eachother, or find out that now the 'honeymoon' period is over they are no longer compatible. Atleast if you are friends first things can develop and you'll know for sure if you're compatible long term or not.

Gribble nailed it. If a guy says he loves you after a couple dates, or days for that matter, it's because he's trying to **** you.
