Well, actually, before I knew what she looked like, I was starting to like her a great deal, then about a month later when I saw her picture for the first time, I was absolutly blown away by her looks, but it's not just her looks that I like, there's something about her personality that seems to work like a magnet somehow, lol...

Actually, OV, you would be surprised. I did a piece on prostitution a while back. There used to be an agency in DC that recruited girls from my college to work as "escorts". They bought thinly veiled ads in my college's own newspaper. Funny as shit. Plus there are a number of Asian massage parlors scattered throughout the area. I paid one a visit and was completely shocked. First off, the parlor, Gold's Health Center I believe, was located between a beauty salon and a restaurant. Mothers were taking their children to eat right next door.

Inside was nothing but young, cute girls. Very innocent and pretty. Smart, too. If you saw them on the street you'd never guess in a million years what they did for a living. The girls come from places like Cambodia hoping to make something of themselves and they wind up as prostitutes due to deceit or necessity. Back home their fathers make something like 2-300 bucks a year. They send money home along with letters describing what a wonderful place America is, how it's the land of opportunity. They make up stuff about attending college and having a great job. It's sad, really.

Most of the men they service are white, middle-aged suburbanites who probably have daughters nearly as old as them.

Here's the skinny on this place: Not *everyone* is young and cute. There are men. Tough bruiser-types, but customers never see them unless there's trouble. I got to meet them when they found out I wasn't a customer. And there's a madam at the desk who handles everything. In this case she was an older asian lady. A very ordinary, grandmotherly looking woman. I can't quite remember the pricing. I think you pay 30 bucks for half an hour, 60 for a full hour. That gets you time in a sauna and a massage from one of the ladies. The massage starts with a shower. According to the workers they often clean the men themselves. Not so much to be sexy, but because men are disgusting pigs... Then you're lead to a chair. Not those massage tables you see on TV. It's kind of like one of those plastic pool chairs you recline on.

The ironic thing is many of the girls are real masseuses. They practice various asian styles, the names of which elude me. I got one of the girls to give me a massage and I was in heaven. Anyway, you go in, sit in the sauna for a while, take your shower, and get your massage. After that the girl will ask if there's anything else you'd like. At that point you tell her you want the full treatment or whatever. For another 60-100 bucks she'll put a condom on your penis and give you a BJ or a handjob. New customers almost never get sex. You have to become a repeat customer for that. They even offer deals to repeat customers. Make five appointments and they'll squeeze one off free of charge. Kinda like having a Subway Select card.

The girl I spoke with told me that she lived in a dilapidated house with the rest of the girls not far from the parlor. If they get pregnant they get an abortion. The cost comes out of their pay. According to the girls they're treated well. No physical abuse, anything of that nature. Of course we were sitting in the lion's den, so I'm not sure I believe that.

Oh, and the building itself was just a plain, nondescript affair in a strip mall set between a beauty salon and a family restaurant, as I said. The windows were curtained and the first room is just a small chamber. There's a locked door in there with a peephole. They check you out and if you don't look like trouble they let you in.

While I was there I ran into two customers, and I'll never forget what they looked like. The first one was a 40-something guy with a mustache and mirrored aviators. He drove an SUV and looked like the posterchild for a middle-American father. I have no doubt that this guy lead a perfectly normal life in some little suburban town, had a wife and kids, maybe a middle-management job. The next was a teenaged boy with a potbelly. A little dorky looking, but that may have just been because he was nervous. He looked about like your average dopey high school senior. Both were white, and both looked like normal, law-abiding citizens. Almost all the customers are like that.
