    Question from the OVmister ladies.

I saw a commercial not to long ago that said something along the lines of..."It is not about the car you drive, the house you have, the cloths you wear, it is about the watch"...sounded stupid to me, do you girls even notice a watch on a guy, or hell, do you even notice if he has one on?

Uh girls generally notice more on a guy more so than guys noticing what a girl has on. So to answer your question, yes girls will notice if you are wearing a watch if it is exposed.

stupid marketing people. no, I don't notice the watch. It's under his sleeve. If it is particularly unusual I might notice. If it is particularly fancy and expensive, that might even put me off a bit. If it has sentimental value, like his dad gave it to him or something, that's sweet. But over all.. watches aren't important.

    edit:
jurupa has a point though. We do notice what you have on and how you present yourself. Like, if he's wearing a nice suit, but with a huge red rubber digital watch.. that's not good.

I don't notice or care about such trivial things.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

I really don't notice that stuff about a guy unless I'm interested. Then I notice all them details.

See, my Dad gave me a real nice, thin, and expensive watch on my recent 24th birthday. I find wearing them a bit of a burden, not annoying but not comfortable completely. That is why I asked, should I wear it or shelf it? Since obviously everyone has a cell phone now and it has the time anyways.

Yea, but will they admit it? lol. I don't know, somehow I think it is like me noticing a girls jewelery...I dont ever notice it. They try so hard to get the real expensive stuff even though no one can tell.

It's a nice watch? well then wear it, god damn it. When you say it's uncomfortable, do you mean physically, like its one of those that pulls out the little hairs, or do you mean mentally? If it's the latter, believe me, if you start wearing it you'll get used to it, don't worry about loosing it- it's better to enjoy your dads gift than not to value it at all.

I don't understand the "ah, I have a phone anyway, I don't need a watch" thing. I was without my watch for a while recently and I found getting the cell out all the time extremely annoying.

I will notice if anyone is wearing something particularly beautiful or well-designed. Shoes, jacket, whatever. It won't be the first thing I notice, though, and it doesn't necessarily change my opinion of the person.
