    Romantic Love.

Lately I have been thinking about Romantic Love. Everyone seems to be searching for it. Some of us find it. Most of us lose it. Its the most amazing feeling in the world. Its also the most painful feeling in the world.

So in the end - is it really a good thing? I mean how can you not get attached to a person and still have an amazing relationship with them? To experience it all you have to give it all - including your heart and soul. But if it doesn't work out you end up getting destroyed. Is it even healthy to let yourself get that attached to a single person? Is it healthy to find meaning to your life through them? And when they leave - where has your meaning gone? Is it all really worth it? Is it possible to be truly in love and give your all without being at risk of being completely shattered yourself? Im thinking not..

    What are your thoughts?
There are moments when one feels free from one's own identification with human limitations and inadequacies. At such moments one imagines that one stands on some spot of a small planet, gazing in amazement at the cold yet profoundly moving beauty of the eternal, the unfathomable; life and death flow into one, and there is neither evolution nor destiny; only Being. - Albert Einstein

Even now my mind still battles between rationality and irrationality.

All us guys should get together and cry about it.

Then afterwards we can grab a few pizzas, steaks and play some Halo.

Oi...fine, we'll get some ****in' beer, but I'm not supplyin' it, nor am I drivin' anybody back home, so talk amongst yourselves.

In the mean time, I'm gonna go for a walk, I'm feeling despondent.

I guess you just go into things not knowing how they are gonna turn out. Its like taking a leap. I would wanna do it as long as I was guaranteed some happiness.

Sad thing is that there are no guarantees.

Real love makes you a better person. No matter what happens, you get to keep that.

    It's always worth it.

There was this poster I saw once... it said 'You miss 100% of the shots you don't take'. I wish I followed it more often. The point is, it's worth it. If it is something that you want, you can't tell yourself that you're not going to get involved with it because it may hurt you. If you hold yourself back from something you want so dearly, it's going to hurt you anyway. On the 'rational' basis, it's worth it just because of that. Feelings are a strange thing... you may not understand them, but you should embrace them instead of being afraid of them.
If a dream comes true... then is it still a dream?

Do you think it is healthy to be addicted to one person? Or anyone for that matter?

I tend to view addiction as a bad thing.

    Love is a chemical addiction.

Why do you think we pursue it so feverishly ?
